Sneijder Became Balotelli’s Team Companion in Nice
Wesley Sneijder officially joined Nice. This French club that provides confirmation through the official Twitter account on Sunday (06/08/2017) night.
Sneijder, who has agreed a contract offer from the management of this Ligue 1 club, must undergo a medical test first. The 34-year-old formerly had no club because his contract with Turkish club Galatasaray was cut by a collective agreement.
Sneijder flew to Nice on Sunday morning to complete the contract details and will sign a one-year contract. Thus, the Dutchman will be team mate Mario Balotelli who last season managed to bring Nice finished third in the final standings of the French League.
The player who has defended the Dutch national team as much as 131 times is likely to have been played in a Champions League play-off match against representatives of Italy, Napoli. The first leg will be held at the Stadio San Paolo on Thursday (17/08/2017) early morning hrs, before held at the Allianz Riviera Stadium on Wednesday (23/08/2017).
Last season, Sneijder appeared 31 times for Galatasaray in all competitions. Overall, the former Inter Milan and Real Madrid players contributed 45 goals and 44 assists in 175 appearances with Galatasaray.
